The UK Prime Minister plans to press supporting countries to supply Ukrainian forces with further long-range missiles to hit enemy locations during discussions in Britain on this Friday.

Britain's leader is set to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "alliance of supportive nations", comprising more than 20 of Ukraine's allies who have committed to grant Kyiv defense assurances once a ceasefire is negotiated.

The Ukrainian leader has been pleading for an extended period for more advanced missile technology from Western nations, an action that the Russian government has warned would escalate the war.

Ukraine's leader is coming from Brussels, where he conferred with EU leaders on yesterday requesting economic assistance.

"The sole individual engaged in current hostilities who refuses to stop the conflict is President Putin," the Prime Minister said.

Sir Keir furthermore reveal that a hundred additional air defense systems will be supplied to Ukraine sooner than scheduled, as specified in a multi-billion pound agreement reached between the UK and Ukraine in spring.

Global Backing

Sir Keir will press delegates to ramp up the provision of long-range weapons following a successful attack on a manufacturing site in the Russian city, the Russian Federation, using British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles.

The Russian government began its full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory in winter 2022. The invading forces currently controls about 20% of the country's land, comprising the Crimean peninsula Russia took control of in several years ago.
